hello i'm Debora Goldsbury.

  

I am an abstract painter using oils, acrylics, ink and whatever else comes to hand. originally from nottingham,I moved to the north east of england to study fine art and have since called newcastle my home. over the years i have developed a working process based on mark-making techniques which eventually became my own private alphabet. using drips, scratches and smears I use these marks to make a visual statement

my more recent paintings are non-objective meditations on place - quiet glimpses that surface like memories. soft, muted colours that drift and gather, suggesting the trace of a moment rather than it's form. each piece is an attempt to hold a feeling just long enough for it to become visible.

 

I've exhibited across the uk, france & the netherlands and sold throughout the world.
